Father and son

Thirty-two years of doors, two Caros

Chad started the company in 2008 so he could keep his own hours while his wife fought an aggressive spinal tumor and their three boys were small. By then he had fourteen years in the trade: subdivision doors in Pensacola, then lead commercial installer and service manager for garage door companies here.

Clay helped him on jobs as a kid, finished Centennial High in Franklin in 2017, went on to MTSU, and took over the day-to-day in 2020. Customers name them both in their reviews. More about the two of them on the About page.

Custom doors

For the house you’re building, or finally finishing

Builders and homeowners come to Clay for real wood, custom handles and the right stain. These four are ours, photographed on the houses. More on custom garage doors.

In their words

What customers wrote, unedited

“Last night, one of the springs on my garage door mechanism broke. … I called Chad with Kingdom Doors. He arrived promptly at 8:30 this morning and replaced 2 springs for me. Only one had snapped but I decided to go ahead and replace both as the other may fail soon too. … He also replaced the track rollers for a very minimal extra … My garage opens and closes so much more quietly now.”

Melissa, Franklin

“Their task was to install a custom garage door for us. Him and his team went above and beyond to make sure everything was installed to the manufacturer specs. He even went to the extent to communicate with the manufacturer directly to solve and issues.”

Logan Randall · Google

“Clay + helper came out in the freezing cold to do my garage door repair: under 55 degrees, the door would go up but not down. … Who knew a garage door box had a mother board?”

Barbara, Smyrna

“I had a small crack that was getting larger on my garage door … They came over and assessed this quickly and I had it replaced within a week. Emerson was friendly and was great with any questions we had.”

Questions people ask before they call

Can I call Kingdom Doors for a garage door emergency at night or on a weekend?

Yes. Kingdom Doors takes emergency calls 24/7 at (615) 810-6415 — a door stuck open with the house unlocked, a car trapped behind a snapped spring, a door off its track after a storm. Call rather than fill in the form when it can’t wait; the phone reaches us faster.

Will you work on a garage door that another company installed?

Yes. Chad’s line has always been “we sell the best garage doors and service the rest,” so we repair doors and openers we didn’t install, Genie and other opener brands included, alongside the LiftMaster openers we’re authorized to install and service.

What garage door brands does Kingdom Doors install?

We install Amarr garage doors, LiftMaster openers as an authorized installer, and wood doors from Carriage House Doors of North Carolina as an authorized distributor, with National PreFinish among the other lines. Which door suits a house depends on its style, the budget and the opener it has to work with.

How long has Kingdom Doors been in business?

Since 2008, when Chad Caro started the company in Franklin, and Chad has hung garage doors since 1994, when he began as a subdivision installer in Pensacola. His son Clay has run the business day to day since 2020, so it’s been a father-and-son company for over five years.

How do I pay for a garage door repair, and will you bill my insurance?

Payment is due from the homeowner at the time of service; we don’t bill insurance companies directly. On a storm or accident claim we write the estimate for your adjuster, do the work once it’s approved, and you send our paid invoice to your insurer for reimbursement.

Is Kingdom Doors rated with the Better Business Bureau?

Yes — the BBB rates Kingdom Doors LLC A+, with no complaints filed in the last three years. The business isn’t BBB-accredited, which is a paid membership; the rating stands on its own. HomeAdvisor shows 4.96 stars from 38 reviews under Kingdom Doors, LLC.
