Why are so many Spring Hill doors wearing out now?

Because so many went up at once. Census estimates put 36% of Spring Hill homes in the 2000s and 38% in the 2010s, with 13% in the 1990s and 9% since 2020; almost nothing here predates 1990. The town counted 29,036 people in 2010 and 50,005 in 2020, an increase of 72.2%, and an estimated 61,336 in 2025.

Saturn, Ultium and a 1963 tornado

Spring Hill’s growth has a clear starting line. General Motors built Saturns at its plant here from 1990 to 2007, and Spring Hill now has an Ultium battery plant as well. Long before any of that, an F3 tornado hit the center of town on January 10, 1963, when only a fraction of today’s houses stood.
